This is how the development of robotics in the present can aid in repetitive activities or activities that present a lesser degree of direct intervention with the patient in certain therapies. This paper presents the design, creation, and programming of a "Wireless-Hand" mechatronic prototype that allows for remote control of a robotic hand. For this, a glove with flex sensors and micro-controlled circuits was designed, which connects wirelessly with the robotic hand, allowing communication and control over it. For the connection to be optimal in terms of data transfer and connectivity, three types of technologies are compared: Zigbee, Bluetooth, and WiFi.4 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publicación DOI 10.1007/978-3-030-70316-5_151Implementation of an Exoskeleton for Neuromuscular Hand Rehabilitation2022 ;Troncoso, B.; ; ; BarrĆa, P.This article shows the design, development, implementation, and control software associated with a hand exoskeleton capable of assisting in basic actions, such as opening and closing. Robotic architectures, geometric and kinematic analysis are reviewed, obtaining a proprietary design based on the biometrics of Chilean individuals. The exoskeleton meets basic clinical requirements, allowing work with ranges of movement in each finger with no pressure points in the skin or discomfort with use, being capable of adjusting to the thumb and adapting to any hand. The software created for training and rehabilitation, both for the therapist and the end-user, contains control of patient records, therapies, and a graphic interface that allows for personalized routines to be configured after calibration. The software allows rehabilitation specialists to be able to use the exoskeleton, after receiving a brief safety and basic function introduction, and thus be able to perform robotic therapies in any health center.4 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The training course consists in six modules according to the curricula of the training program "INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING EDUCATOR ING. PAED.IGIP" of the IGIP center at the TU Dresden, Faculty of Education. The course was offered in blended learning modality with participation of academics from different regions of Chile (Concepcion, Punta Arenas, Santiago, Talca y Temuco). This training program was developed and implemented within the framework of the project "Engineering Didactics at Chilean Universities" (PEDING-Project). The aim of the PEDING-Project was the development and testing of training modules for teaching qualifications of teaching staff in academic Engineering Education based in the IGIP Curriculum offered for the IGIP center at the TU Dresden. The project was led by Prof. Hanno Hortsch (President of IGIP) at the Chair of Didactics of Vocational Learning in the TU Dresden and has been financially supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).Scopus© Citations 5 4 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publicación DOI 10.1063/1.5044117High Performance Implementation of Wolf's Method2018; ;Molina-Adasme, SebastianThe method of Wolf, basically provides the calculation of the maximum exponent of Lyapunov by the evolution of the distance between two points closes from two nearby paths. This enables the quantification of the chaos through the sign of the exponent, is also an important tool as an indicator of the predictability of a time series. The algorithm presented by Alan Wolf is not very efficient because of a search performed by brute force, therefore, the execution times turn out to be very high, here is where lies the importance of the parallelization of this method. In the present work, two parallel implementations of the method of Wolf shared memory platforms, described the first using the API second based for GPU, and OpenMP using NVIDIA CUDA platform. The results obtained in terms of execution time decreased approximately above 90%, for all patients in study for parallel OpenMP program. In the case of the parallel program on GPU, achieved a decrease of runtimes between approximately 15% and 65% (depending on the case study), in comparison to the parallel OpenMP version; and even more, a considerable decrease of time in comparison to the sequential version. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
